NANO GLASS ACTIVE is a sol-gel solution containing nanometric titanium dioxide and new generation nano-silica, capable of activating a glass surface and making it a “smart surface”. Activated glass surfaces exposed to sunlight are able to decompose carbonaceous substances which settle on them, eliminate and transform air pollutants ( NOx and SOx) and organic particulate in the atmosphere is removed by photocatalysis. When it rains, instead of droplets forming on the surface, an even film of water is created which carries away contaminants and reduces streaks of on the glass, thanks to the hydrophilic effect obtained by using NANO GLASS ACTIVE. The smart surface develops anti-microbial, anti-mold and anti-algae proprieties thanks to the presence of titanium dioxide. It also performs as a deodorising action: following oxidation of the nanotitanium particles exposed to the sunlight, all toxic gases including thiols, mercaptans and formaldehyde are destroyed, as well as odours from fungi.
In order to obtain optimal results from a photocatalytic self-cleaning treatment, the surface must be properly cleaned and scrabbed using NANO GLASS CLEANER, a micronised detergent. Using a polyester sponge, apply the product with slight pressure, running both vertically and horizontally on the surface to remove all impurities, then rinse with a microfibre cloth a glass wiper. NANO GLASS ACTIVE can be applied using HPLV mist systems or spread over the surface with a microfibre pad, cleaning vertically form the top to bottom to ensure the surface is evenly covered. NANO GLASS ACTIVE anchors firmly the substrates within 24 hours, after which photocatalysis of the nano particles will then start. When carrying out maintenance, do not use detergents but spray the surface within demineralised water and then dry with a microfibre cloth or glass wiper
