NANO CERAMIC ACTIVE is an aqueous suspension of TiO2 nanoparticles with nano-silica particles. Ceramic materials coated and activated with this product be- come self-cleaning once exposed to light and have high hydrophilicity. Moreover, the high content of nanometric titanium dioxide particles allows the surface to decompose different organic substances by oxidation, including organic and carbonaceous partic- ulate, mold, lichens and algae.
Air pollutants such as NOx and Sox are transformed into soluble salts and then washed away by the rain and thanks to the lotus effect of TiO2.
We recommend applying one coat of product using HVLP sprayers that can produce drops between 10 and 20 microns in size, to ensure all the surface is evenly covered. NANO CERAMIC ACTIVE polymerizes at room temperatures of between 18° and 25°C in 24-48 hours, depending on the humidity present in the environment. However, when used industrially, it is possible to accelerate the drying process by using hot air jets and UV lamps with operating temperatures of between 60° and 100°C.
